Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is an annual global inter-school technology competition, inspiring students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) knowledge in developing innovative solutions to address social challenges. Since launching in Hong Kong in 2013, the competition has encouraged students to broaden their STEM expertise while fostering empathy, responsibility, and technological skills to cultivate future leaders of tomorrow.

This year, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025-2026 competition features two topics:

Topic 1:Environmental Sustainability via Technology — Create sustainable solutions to protect our planet via AI
Topic 2:Social Change through Sport & Tech: For Better Futures — Harness the power of AI technology and sports to open new opportunities

Both themes challenged students to innovate beyond traditional boundaries, leveraging AI and cutting-edge technologies to develop creative and practical solutions to tackle complex societal issues and shape for a better future. Building upon its award-winning achievement in the previous year's Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition, Diploma of Vocational Education (Artificial Intelligence and Robotics) students Fong Man Hei and Tong Wing Chi with their project “SmartRacket” have demonstrated continued excellence by attaining further distinction, securing 2nd Runner Up in the Tertiary Category of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025-2026 competition. By integrating TinyML and IMU technologies, SmartRacket can accurately captures and analyzes shot data. Combined with Bluetooth connectivity, real-time performance metrics and posture analysis are transmitted to an Android application, helping players improve their techniques and prevent injuries. In the future, the system will support the Samsung Health platform and be extended to other racket sports.
