The 19th Joint Campuses Youth College Singing Contest, themed “Dream”, was successfully held on the evening of March 21, 2025, at YCKF Hall. Leading up to the event, nine campus-based singing contests were organized by local campuses, resulting in the selection of 12 outstanding finalists who showcased their talents on the main stage.
The Champion title was awarded to Tung Sum Yau from KF Campus Beauty Care Year 2, who also received the “My Favorite Performer” award, as voted by audience.
Another highlight of this event was the involvement of nearly 100 Youth College students who utilized their trade-specific expertise in fields such as promotion graphic design, makeup and styling, photography, LED backdrop video production, along with lighting and audio mixing, to collaboratively organize the event, providing more students with a platform to shine.
In addition to the singing competition, the event featured a variety of captivating performances, including a live band show by the YCM MMP Busking Team, an extraordinary K-pop dance by the KF Dance Society, and a vocal performance stream by HKDI - HD in Music Production student Dorothy CHAU — all of which impressed over 250 guests and audience alike.
The highlight of the evening was a special performance and sharing session by popular local Hong Kong band RowdyRoadie, with two of the band members being proud KB and KF graduates. The contest also benefited from the insights of three external judges Ms. Yman WAN, Mr. Edward LAI and Ms. Venus YIU, who provided professional advice and constructive feedback to help participants grow and elevate their performances.
This event was an unforgettable evening filled with music, passion, and enthusiasm, not only provided a valuable platform for students to showcase their talents, but also celebrated the outstanding creativity and spirit of students and staff across various programmes and campuses.
