VTC Community Engagement Unit (CEU) collaborated with the Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) (Fashion) students and teachers of Youth College, along with the cultural organisation Fusion HUB, to design over twenty sets of retro fashion and styles, showcasing the evolution of fashion from the 1940s to the 1990s.
The outfits were designed by Youth College DVE (Fashion) students and tailored by skilled master tailors proficient in traditional tailoring techniques, demonstrating the fusion and development of traditional and modern Hong Kong design and craftsmanship. These works showcased to the public in a fashion show on 15 December, on Lee Tung Avenue in Wan Chai, featuring both elderly and professional models presenting the students' fashion creations. Youth College DVE (Image Design) students were responsible for the models’ makeup.
