The Smart Aquaponics System is powered by a solar energy system. The solar energy system generates electricity during daytime and stores excessive electricity in a battery. The battery supplies energy for the system at night. The system is equipped with various sensors for monitoring different elements in the system including battery status, solar power input and temperature of the system. Fish and plants are complementary to each other, creating a completely self-sustainable micro-ecosystem.
