Project JUMP

Background

Since 2007, Vocational Training Council (VTC) / Youth College started a collaborated project (Project JUMP) with Tuen Mun Children and Juvenile Home (TMCJH) under the Social Welfare Department to provide vocational training and education to all residents.  TMCJH is a gazette home for children and youth aged between 8 and 18 under respective ordinance.

 

Aims of Project JUMP

  • To enhance students’ learning motivation;
  • To provide vocational education and training programmes to develop students’ employability;
  • To provide personal and career counselling services for developing students’ potentials;
  • To provide pathways for students to pursue their study in VTC and secondary schools.

  • Achieve learning and activity’s rewards and scholarships

 

Vocational Skills Training Education Programme

Provide TWO types of programmes for students with different needs:-

1. Teen’s Programme
2. Short-term vocational and sports interest class

 

Student Development Activities

For enhancing and facilitating students’ personal growth, we have FOUR types of student development activities:

1. Personal and Career Counselling Programmes / Training;
2. Whole Person Development Programmes / Activities;
3. Sports Teams’ Training / Activities / Competitions;
4. Extended Activities of Generic Subjects
