A new appointment at the Directorate rank has been made with effect from 27 September 2024.
Mr CHUNG Chi-pan Sammy
Mr CHUNG Chi-pan Sammy has been appointed as Assistant Executive Director. He assumes the role of Principal of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwun Tong) [IVE(Kwun Tong)], and concurrently as Academic Director of the Business Discipline.
Mr CHUNG is a seasoned administrator and educator with extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams to plan, develop and implement consultancy, government projects and new initiatives. Prior to this appointment, he had served as the Head of Department of Business at IVE(Tsing Yi) and IVE (Haking Wong). He also serves as the Chairman of the Business and Services Programme Board, responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of the business and services programmes. He leads the development and delivery of VPET programmes.
Prior to joining VTC, Mr CHUNG held human resource and operations management roles in a Hong Kong-listed company and a non-governmental organization respectively. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Leeds Metropolitan University and a Master of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
