Youth College is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of LAM Mei-kei, a student of the Diploma of Vocational Education (Fashion) Programme, who excelled at the Grand Final of The 35th “JEANSWEST Casual Wear Design Competition” held in Beijing. With her design collection, “Threads of a Hundred Tales” (百敘織), Mei Kei secured an impressive 10th place among more than 1,520 participants from different regions, standing out in one of the most influential and highly competitive fashion design competitions in the fashion industry.
This year’s competition, themed “I AM…”, encouraged designers to explore personal identity and express their unique perspectives through fashion. Following a rigorous judging process, only 20 outstanding finalists advanced to the Grand Final, where young designers showcased their creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship on a prestigious platform.
Mei-kei’s achievement reflects her exceptional creativity, dedication, and passion for fashion design. Her success not only highlights her talent and commitment but also demonstrates the high calibre young designers nurtured through the Diploma of Vocational Education (Fashion) Programme at Youth College.
