Since 2008, The 1st Concept has been the signature annual showcase of Youth College, celebrating the outstanding talent, creativity and achievements of the students. Under the year’s theme, “VOYAGE,” The 1st Concept 2026 represents a bold and imaginative journey of transformation, creativity, and self-expression. The event featured two sessions and was held on 12 June: the Judges’ Show in the daytime and the Official Evening Show at Youth College (Yeo Chei Man). The official show was also livestreamed on YouTube and made available for on-demand viewing.
This annual event showcased the dedication, passion and accomplishments of students from our four Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programmes: Fashion, Hairdressing, Beauty Care and Image Design, as well as the Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate (DVB) Design programme. Their exceptional work has been evaluated by a distinguished panel of more than 20 industry leaders and renowned professionals, including Mr Kevin Yeung, Chairman of Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association; Mr Dorian Ho, renowned fashion designer; Mr Herman Ng, acclaimed makeup artist and many other industry experts. More than 120 students and teachers took part in 1st Concept, demonstrating their exceptional creativity, innovation and talent. In recognition of their remarkable achievements, over 30 awards were presented during the event.
This event attracted nearly 500 guests, including industry leaders, members of Training Boards, principals, teachers and career masters from the secondary schools. Together, they joined us on this inspiring and creative voyage, celebrating the next generation of talent and innovation.
