2025-2026 AI Music Video Creation Competition

The AI Music Video Creation Competition aims to encourage students to harness artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to integrate music and visual production. Centered on themes such as “Growth”, “Dreams”, “Mental Wellness”, and “Harmonious Campus Life”, the competition promotes positive values and uplifting messages. With no technical barriers to participation, students can leverage AI-powered tools to transform their ideas into fully complete creative works, building self-confidence, while expressing care for others through creative expression.

A preparatory workshop was held in late February, where students were guided in using DeepSeek to create lyrics and the AI platform Suno to compose music, providing them with a strong foundation for participation in the competition. The competition attracted students from all seven Youth College campuses, Youth College (International), and the Project JUMP full-time programme, receiving a total of 78 submissions.

The judging panel comprising Mr YIM Yiu-chung, Ms LEUNG Yun-ping, and Mr CHAN Man-kin, together with the student organizing committee, selected 25 award winners following a thorough evaluation of various judging criteria. The award presentation ceremony was held on 28 May at Youth College (Kwai Chung). Officiated by Principal Mr WONG Chak-wing and attended by representatives from various campuses, academic disciplines, and industry partner Ztor, the ceremony not only recognized students’ outstanding achievements but also served as a platform for showcasing AI-driven creativity and fostering exchanges of ideas.

As a pilot initiative, the programme achieved highly encouraging outcomes. It effectively promoted mental wellness, enhanced campus engagement and inclusiveness, and encouraged students to harness AI for creative expression, surpassing initial expectations.
