Year 2 students from the Diploma of Vocational Education (Image Design) at Youth College (Tin Shui Wai) participated in the 5th Chinese Culture Festival – Hanfu Fashion Design Competition. Three students were shortlisted as finalists: POON Yeuk Yu, NG Sze Wan and SUNG Hiu Ching.
The competition encouraged participants to integrate traditional Hanfu elements with contemporary design concepts. Each finalist presented their work with distinctive styles. A prestigious judging panel comprising members of the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association—including the Association’s Vice Chairman, Walter Ma, alongside Lulu Cheung and Henry Lau—carefully evaluated the entries.
We are delighted to announce that our student, Poon Yeuk Yu, achieved outstanding success by winning both the Champion title and the Best Theme Award.
